‘A Top Cruise’ give us the guided tour on their girls!

New Vintage car company A Top Cruise joined the Queenstown Wedding Association last year, and have been slowly building up their fleet to cover all bases when it comes to transporting Brides, Grooms, bridal party and wedding guests from A to B here in Queenstown.

Now we get to meet the girls personally and help you decide if your more Amiee, Zoe or Rosie!

How did your love for vintage cars start?

Being a bit of a vintage myself I love all things old…….. I have a huge collection of old radios and all sorts of props to compliment the cars for cool photo shoots and such like. There’s just something about keeping old cars from the past ‘alive’ that I love.

The cliche “they don’t make them like they used to” springs to mind! What advice can you offer to couples considering a vintage car for their wedding day?

Whilst we can’t guarantee it will be the “ride of your life” we are sure that, like marriage, it will be a memorable journey.

What services do you offer for your clients?

We offer chauffeur driven cars, we have a 1957 Chevrolet Belair Soft Top (Rosie) she can hold up to 4 passengers and offers the most wonderful 360 views with her roof down, a 1957 Chevrolet Belair Stretch Limousine (Zoe) she can hold up to 8 passengers keeping your whole party together and a 1937 Chevrolet pick up (Aimee) she is for photo shoots only, making those memories last forever.

How many packages do you offer?

We charge by the hour for the cars and can tailor a day outing to suit the clients needs, anything from arriving to your wedding in Chevrolet convoy, hen/stag do’s, family days out, winery tours….and not forgetting photo shoots with the lovely Aimee…… the list is endless in the beautiful area of Queenstown and Central Otago.

                                                                Rosie loves hanging out!

Do you have a favorite wedding story?

A wedding anniversary story from a party I recently attended to celebrate 60 years of marriage – when asked what the secret is to a long and happy marriage the bride replied

“Well my husband makes all the big decisions and I make all the small ones, and I decide which are which”

Haha, thats brilliant, I’ll have to remember that one myself! And any fond memories or funny/nail-biting experiences during a wedding morning?

At a family wedding the bride and her father arrived at the registry office – she was looking stunning and the only thing missing was her bouquet – which was still sitting on her dining room table!  Obviously no time to go back for it, so one of the groomsmen jumped over the fence and picked her half-a-dozen beautiful hydrangeas from the neighbour’s garden – there are no problems, only solutions!

In your opinion what is it that makes Queenstown such a wonderful place to get married?

Queenstown is without doubt one of the most beautiful places in the world and a stunning backdrop for a wedding. Honeymooners will find Queenstown a vibrant setting to enjoy their first days as husband and wife or an excellent base from which to explore the New Zealand South Island.

What better way to take in this stunning area then in one of our stunning cars.
