On Saturday 8th September 2018, Clinton and Vijay officially become husband and husband in front of 100+ of their nearest and dearest family and friends.
As the winners of the Queenstown Wedding Association same-sex wedding promotion last year, the lead up to their wedding day, the day itself and the post celebrations, was made that extra bit special thanks to lots of our amazing QWA members.
Getting Ready With Eve Make-Up Artistry
The talented team from Eve Make-Up Artistry helped our two grooms and their bridal parties get ready before they set off to tie the knot.
Tussock Point, NZ High Country – Ceremony Spot
NZ High Country’s ceremony spot, at Tussock Point, impressed guests with its sweeping views across Lake Wakatipu and Queenstown. The sun was shining and it was a picture perfect day, with smiles all around.
NZ Ski Buses
Guests were picked up from town by NZ Ski buses and shuttled up a private road to the top of NZ High Country.
Once the guests had had a chance to settle into this stunning spot, the two grooms made spectacular entrances – arriving in separate helicopters, thanks to Over The Top Helicopters.
Live Love Wed – Glennys Logan
Glennys Logan (from Live, Love, Wed) led a very heartfelt and personal wedding ceremony for Clinton and Vijay. Leaving not a dry eye in the house, many guests made comment about how much they loved Glennys’ sincerity and that they thought it was the best ceremony that they had been to.
Freefall Entertainment
There were hugs, congratulations and celebrations all around while the very talented Free Fall Entertainment played a beautiful acoustic set. The tunes played by Free Fall Entertainment perfectly set the tone for the afternoon.
Alpine Image Company
Jen from Alpine Image Company was in her element, and captured our lovely grooms, their day and their guests just beautifully. With the Remarkable Mountain Range, and Lake Wakatipu as the backdrop, Jen captured so many amazing photos and moments, it \is hard to pick just one to showcase…
A Top Cruises
A Top Cruises transferred Clinton and Vijay to Queenstown Airport in their beautiful restored 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Limousine Zoe and 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible Coupe…Following their ceremony they were transferred in Zoe for a few more photos, while on route to Prime Restaurant for their wedding reception.
Queenstown Ice
Clinton and Vijay were greeted at their wedding reception with an impressive ice sculpture, that had been carefully hand-carved by the team at Queenstown Ice. Featuring their initials and two hearts, the sculpture was a great talking point for many of the guests throughout the evening.
Queenstown Wedding Hire
Queenstown Wedding Hire provided the special touches to highlight the tables in keeping with their red and white theme. After dinner, Clinton and Vijay cut their amazing cake from Cup & Cake Queenstown before dancing the night away.
Azur
The guys finished their amazing trip to Queenstown with a mini honeymoon at Azur – a luxury lodge nestled on the shores of Lake Wakatipu with some of the most striking scenery in the region.

GIBBSTON VALLEY WINERY – Were happy to host Clinton and Vijay for a wine cave tour, which included a tasting of three varietals in the cave and a visit to our Home Block Vineyard, originally planted by their founder and wine pioneer Alan Brady in 1983.
DOUBLE THYME CATERING – Kindly catered for Clinton & Vijay while they were enjoying the Million Dollar Cruise on the Thursday night before they got married. The friendly team at Double Thyme Catering also catered delicious desserts to family and friends at the day after BBQ.
SOUTHERN DISCOVERIES – Provided provided a relaxing scenic cruise of Lake Wakatipu for Clinton, Vijay and guests to enjoy the afternoon after their big day.
